Summary
About the role
Assist with the loading of company vehicles when required and ensure all trailers are loaded correctly, safely and records are accurately updated
Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicles are roadworthy and all checks are in line with the company daily vehicle check procedure. Report any problems or accidental damage etc to the transport team immediately.
Immediately report all vehicle defects in line with the vehicle defect procedure and carry out onsite basic repairs to the fleet (bulbs, encryta cables) to reduce the down time of vehicles, I deliver service and defect vehicles to the VMU for repair and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
Drive in a responsible manner complying at all times with EU Road Transport Regulations, Health and Safety regulations including company policy and procedures.
Ensure that my actions will result in no liability being attributed to the company when accidents occur.
Actively work with my colleagues and customers to reduce impact on our environment by minimising noise and parking considerately.
Ensure the vehicles are kept in a clean and presentable condition internally.
Complete any other reasonable duties as allocated by the transport managers including but not limited to dispatching drivers using the transport office systems, occasionally deliveries to stores when required.
Have a flexible approach to start times and assist in transport operations when required.
work 5/6 shifts on a rota including Saturdays

- A good understanding of EU Regulations and WTD
- Good communication skills
- Is passionate about the role and delivers with great drive and enthusiasm
- Good Health & Safety understanding
- Capable of working as part of a larger team
