Summary

Permanent - Full Time - 37 hours per week

We are Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) - one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers. We are now looking for an APQP Control Manager to join us.

As APQP Control Manager, you will assist the Director and Quality Manager with the day-to-day management and development of the company quality system (to ISO9001, AS13000 and AS9100 standards). You will ensure that products and services meet customer needs and expectations, to fulfil company quality objectives. You will create and sustain a culture within the Quality department that is based on continuous improvement, revising, and updating the quality management procedures as required.

Developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic plans, goals and objectives, you will identify areas where product or service quality requires corrective action and provide and communicate overall vision and direction for the program. You will manage teams across functional boundaries, both internal and external, and contribute to the production of program reports, materials and content.

Who are we looking for?

We’d like our APQP Control Manager to have proven experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environment and understand national and international quality standards including ISO9001, AS13000 and AS9100. You’ll have detailed knowledge of APQP and PPAP requirements and methodologies and demonstrate excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

A Lean Six Sigman Green Belt practitioner is desirable, as is someone with an understanding of forging processes.
