NHS England Midlands are pleased to announce recruitment for 2 Multiprofessional Workplace Learning Fellowship posts.
We are seeking dynamic self-starters, eager to adapt and learn, with excellent communication, leadership and management skills. The candidates should have knowledge of, or interest in the UK healthcare systems and the culture, structure and policies of the NHS and arm’s length bodies.
These posts are available to Postgraduate Doctors in Training (PGDiT) who are enrolled in or due to be enrolled in a Midlands Training programme. As listed below; and who wish to work less than full time (LTFT) on a project. The PGDiT would be required to, after approval from their Training Programme Director, train at 60% LTFT* for the 12 months of the fellowship. The remaining 40% will be spent working on a project. The post holder will be placed within their normal training programme at a location amenable to the Training Programme Director and the project supervisor. These posts are also available to SAS doctors and Advanced Practitioners.
*This will result in an extension to the CCT date.
The post holder will take part in the NHS England Fellowship Leadership Development Programme (attending 4 development days). The posts also come with significant NHS England funding (up to £5,000) for each appointed Fellow, towards registration fees for an academic qualification or similar development activity which has been agreed between the Fellow, Project Supervisor and NHS England.
These roles are suitable for any doctor in training who should have already completed Foundation Year 2 at the time of their application or will have completed it by August 2024 and has a passion for medical education and training.
The PGDiT would be required to, after approval from their Training Programme Director, train at 60% LTFT* for the 12 months of the fellowship. The remaining 40% will be spent working on a project.
These roles are also suitable for SAS doctors or Advanced Practitioners currently employed within the Midlands healthcare workforce and who has the support of their employer to be released for 0.4WTE from August 2024 for 12 months.
