An exciting opportunity is available based at Harefield Hospital and part of our rotational programme.

We are seeking a highly motivated pharmacist to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Band 6 Rotational Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services to our patients in a hospital setting with the support to progress into a Band 7 post. Immediate start as a Band 7 is also available with sufficient experience.

Responsibilities as a Band 6:
• Providing clinical pharmacy services to a range of medical and surgical specialties through six-month rotations (opportunities to work cross-site if desired)
• Providing medicine information to healthcare professionals and patients
• Ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines
• Contributing to the development and implementation of new pharmacy services

Responsibilities as you progress into a Band 7:
• Continue to provide a clinical pharmacy service to patients, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines
• Work on a nine-month rotational basis across various clinical areas of the hospital, including cardiology, respiratory and transplant (cross-site working opportunities are also available, if desired)
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and outcomes
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Participate in clinical audit and research activities
• Provide education and training to junior members of the pharmacy team, other healthcare professionals and patients

Qualifications:
• Vocational Masters Degree in pharmacy followed by the completion of one year pre-registration training and experience.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A passion for providing excellent patient care
• Previous hospital experience is preferable
