Ian Williams continues to grow. Following a fantastic year full of growth and opportunity company wide, specifically within our Response and Planned Maintenance arm, we are proud to have recently opened a new Response and Planned works branch in Sleaford.

As a Property Services contractor focused on people, sustainability, and exceptional client delivery/customer satisfaction, we seek a Quantity Surveyor to share in this ethos and support our commercial success.

Focusing on our planned and voids delivery workstreams you will thrive in taking full commercial responsibility for all the technical and financial aspects of this long-term contract, spanning up to 15 years. Working collaboratively and with honesty and integrity, as a Quantity Surveyor at Ian Williams you will value accuracy, success, and impeccable communication skills.

The Quantity Surveyor role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will actively price materials and labour for our repairs, planned works and voids workstream, focusing on reducing costs and improving efficiencies, therefore having a real impact on our profitability and commercial success for the future.

Specific tasks will include:


Being responsible for the financial and technical aspects of the contract across all workstreams, focusing on Planned & Voids works. This will include procurement, managing budget, invoicing, payments, cash flow and cost control.
Minimising costs where possible, maximising value and ultimately making a profit.
Working with direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring all work issued has labour targets to return agreed profit performance.
Developing and maintaining relationships with the workforce, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and our client
Producing monthly contract valuations of the unit’s actual deliverables against the projected budget (CVRs)


What will you bring as a Quantity Surveyor?


Proven experience in a similar commercial or Quantity Surveying role
Proven ability to minimise cost and maximise value, profit, and cash flow.
Strong IT and Microsoft excel skills.
Ability to process high volumes of data analysis.
Experience in working with direct labour and subcontract procurement.
Experience working on Schedule of Rates contracts is desirable, with the ability to price minor works from first principles.
