Summary

If you are an individual with an aptitude for strategic procurement interested in Higher Education; our team are seeking a passionate individual to join us focusing on indirect categories such as professional services and STEMd.

This is a full time, fixed term maternity cover post for 9 months.

Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Indirect Procurement, specifically within the professional services category.
- Strong negotiation skills
- The ability to drive cost savings while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Innovative approach to work, adept at demonstrating tangible benefits derived from continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.
- Proficiency in contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to create and utilise data to drive informed decisions.
- Minimum part qualified or qualified MCIPS.

Key Objectives:
- Implement procurement strategies that align with the University's goals and objectives across a diverse range of procurement activities
- Lead the procurement process from sourcing to contract management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across faculties and directorates to understand their requirements and provide procurement and commercial expertise and support.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements within the professional services category.
