Reed Industrial are delighted to be partnered with a global leader in the metal recycling and sustainability space!

We are thrilled to share an opportunity to recruit a Maintenance Controller to join our client at their site in Newport.

The role

As Maintenance Controller, you'll be responsible for repairing, replacing, and maintaining all machinery and structures onsite in an efficient and professional manner.

  • Full-Time, Permanent contract
  • £18.89 per hour + 33% shift allowance
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
  • Overtime available at 1.5x

Reporting directly to the maintenance manager, key duties will include:

  • Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
  • Understanding of risk assessment/POWRA for maintenance jobs
  • Ensure safety in workshop and plant
  • Adopt and promote a zero harm workplace attitude
  • Drive QHSE improvement
  • Booking parts in/out
  • Ensuring availability of parts and critical spares

Key Qualifications/Experiences

  • Electrical based experience/qualifications/time served apprenticeship
