Are you a Senior Electrical HV Distribution Engineer and looking for your next opportunity?
Company client is recruiting for a Senior Electrical HV Distribution Engineer for our client, who is an engineering and design consultancy. This will be a 6 month initially on an Inside of IR35 contract, the role will be hybrid and site work would be based in Oxfordshire.
Our client are seeking a Senior Electrical HV Distribution Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with one of our key clients in the Defence sector, providing crucial engineering support to the Power Distribution Group. Your expertise will be instrumental in network-level distribution projects involving both HV and LV plant.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical and project leadership for significant and large-scale projects.
* Propose, define, manage, and deliver major projects related to HV network and primary LV enhancements.
* Act as a point of authority, advising on technical solutions, designs, and critical plant operational issues.
* Manage work packages, including design, specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Requirements:
* A relevant electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer status with a suitable professional institution.
* Proven capability in engineering analysis and a good working knowledge of engineering materials.
* Extensive experience with high-power electrical systems used in power stations and large industry.
* Specialist knowledge in HV substations and distribution power systems.
* Familiarity with design standards and industry best practices.
* Strong communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills.
This role will initially involve onsite work, transitioning to a hybrid approach thereafter.
The nature of this opportunity means that you will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment so you must meet all the eligibility criteria to obtain UK Security Clearance.
The rate for this will reflect the scope and significance of the client in their sector.
