Summary
Castleton Fruit is a highly successful soft fruit farm in Aberdeenshire. Soft fruits are grown on the farm for the retail trade throughout the UK season. Producing fresh, sweet fruit; it is packed in the purpose built packhouse, ready for instant distribution to depot.
We are currently looking to recruit two Dispatchers who will be responsible for overseeing orders and dispatch of fruits on time. Communication with production lines and the packhouse manager are essential to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and dispatched in a timely manner within the timescale perimeters set by the customer.
KEY SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS
1. Operational & Commercial Focus – Practical and decisive. Understands how an effective and efficiently run packhouse operation can contribute to stronger business.
2. Practical thinker - Plans and organises in a practical manor to ensure successful outcomes in terms of adherence to quality, cost and timeframe parameters.
3. Attention to detail - Plans and organises meticulously to ensure successful fruit quality outcomes. Can identify problems quickly and then act to rectify immediately.
4. People Management – A strong communicator both within and outside the packhouse team. Able to develop productive working relationships with colleagues in other parts of the business.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Attention to detail and health and safety is key.
• Forklift Licence desirable.
• Good computer skills; will frequently be using outlook, word, excel, and in house stock system.
• Work well under pressure and in a safe manner.
• Good communication skills for working both within and out with the packhouse team.
• Good grasp of the English language.
• Experience with stock control, loading and unloading vehicles and recording and traceability.
The ideal candidate-Would be hard working, be able to work as part of a multi-nationalities team but also individually, physically fit and over 18. Must have the right to work in the UK and be able to prove it (e.g., BRP, pre-settled/settled status, UK passport, etc.),
Due to shift times and the remote location of the business, own transport is essential.
Job Type: Temporary contract, Full-time
Contract length: 6-7 months

Schedule:
• Shift pattern for this role is alternating days (3 days one week, 4 days next week)
• Overtime during peak season
