Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Business Support Officer. As a Grade C employee, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operations of our organization. As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to various departments within our organization. This includes maintaining records, preparing reports, managing correspondence, and assisting with the implementation of organizational policies and procedures. You will also be involved in coordinating meetings and events, managing calendars, and providing general administrative support to staff.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders. Additionally, you should have a proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to various departments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Prepare reports and documents for internal and external use
Manage correspondence, including answering calls and emails
Assist with the implementation of organizational policies and procedures
Coordinate meetings and events, including scheduling and preparing meeting materials
Provide general administrative support to staff
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Essential qualifications/ knowledge:
GCSE’s A*- C (9-4) or equivalent in English and Maths
A willingness to undertake appropriate learning and development as required
Desirable qualifications/ knowledge:
NVQ Level 2 or 3
Customer care qualification/training
Basic knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Essential experience:
Experience of using Microsoft Software Packages e.g. Word, Excel,
Outlook.
Experience of giving information and signposting customers in a tactful and
professional manner face to face, over the phone, online and in writing.
Experience of providing an effective and efficient business support service
to customers.
Administrative experience with an understanding of office procedures.
Experience of prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
Experience of maintaining documents, records and data e.g. financial
records, customer records or accounts.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.18
