Data Migration Specialist

Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Migration Specialist to join our team. As a Data Migration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in transferring data between systems and ensuring its accuracy and integrity. Your expertise will be key in streamlining our data migration processes and ensuring a seamless transition for our organization.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data migration requirements and develop migration strategies
Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems
Develop and implement data mapping and transformation rules to ensure data consistency and accuracy
Identify and resolve data quality and integrity issues during the migration process
Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the successful migration of data
Develop and maintain documentation of data migration processes and procedures
Provide technical support and troubleshoot data migration issues
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure data migration projects are delivered on time and within budget
Stay up-to-date with data migration best practices and industry trends
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Data Migration Specialist or similar role
Strong knowledge of data migration concepts, methodologies, and tools
Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages
Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools
Experience with data mapping and transformation techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations
Experience in the [industry] field is a plus
