Summary
You will help develop the Audiology service at County Durham and Darlington NHs Foundation Trust and work at our outreach clinics for both the adult and paediatric population. You will undertake a range of diagnostic testing and testing of middle ear function. You will refer suitable patients for BAHA and cochlear implants as appropriate. You will support patients in understanding their hearing loss, set realistic expectations and develop individual management plans. Selecting and fitting appropriate hearing aids and reassessing hearing will form your main duties as well as supporting ENT clinics. In additon you will be responsible for more complex patients and subject to your experience be part of the paediatric diagnostic and rehab team.
