Job Purpose:I am a gentleman with mental health issues, living near Hunstanton, who is seeking a male PA to provide support inside the home.Due to my mental health issues, I spend all of my time inside the home and I can often struggle to get out of bed. I would like someone who can provide support for me to maintain my personal hygiene, by encouraging me to shower and get dressed into clean clothes. Whilst I shower, I will require someone who can watch over me and provide assistance if necessary.When my wife is out of them house, I would like someone who is able to check in on me and encourage me to eat, by preparing me a light meal.I would ideally like someone who has training in mental health or a background of working with people who suffer from such issues.It can take me a while to feel comfortable talking to new people, as such this role will be offered on a phased start, whereby the appropriate time is taken for me to get to get to know the PA.Male PA required due to personal care element.Location: Near Hunstanton

Summary terms and conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £16.50 per hour
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
  • Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers
  • Hours and days of work: 4 hours per week. 1 hour X 4 days per week, the days and times of which will be variable and agreed in advance
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months

  • Should this job role include any of the following duties: food handling, chemical handling (general household cleaning products) or manual handling or the handling of medication, you will be required to undertake annual training.
