Summary
Falkirk Council are recruiting for an Apprentice Assistant Countryside Ranger to join our team at Muiravonside Country Park, Falkirk. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a foothold in the conservation sector, gaining experience in a varied Ranger role while completing a Modern Apprenticeship in Rural Skills with SRUC.
A passion for the outdoors, and a desire to learn are essential for this role. A good knowledge of the natural world would be advantageous, but on-the-job training will be provided. You will have a driving license or be working towards this, and be comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weathers. This is an ideal role for those looking to start a career in conservation.
Due to the nature of funding for this post, applicants must be aged 16-24 and live within the Falkirk Council area.
An information session will be held at Muiravonside Country Park on Tuesday 30th April. Applications close at 12 noon on Friday 10th May, and interviews will be held on Tuesday 21st May (date TBC).
