Summary

Your new company

Our client is a successful secondary school in Doncaster, part of a wider multi-academy trust. The school is consistently over-subscribed and popular with parents within the catchment and beyond. Having moved into a purpose built building recently, the school offers excellent resources and facilities to benefit both students and staff alike, as well as strengthening the strong community links that the school boasts.

Following return to physical teaching post-pandemic, the school has focused on well-being, adaptation and positive mental health. The school is morally driven, and as such believe that success academically is driven by the right environment in which to learn in addition to personal fulfilment. This extends to the staff, who are given ample opportunity for professional development, continued support and a variety of opportunities to develop their career.

Your new role

Working as a cover supervisor can be a fantastic route into a teaching career and is a rewarding and fulfilling role. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your school knowledge, build upon existing skills and forge a successful career within education.

The successful applicant will oversee full classes across both KS3 and KS4, ensuring pre-planned schedules of work are completed and behaviour is maintained. No two days will be the same, so flexibility and willingness to adapt are a must for this role. As a member of staff within the school, you will ultimately be a role model for all students, and will take on the schools policies, ethos and standards at all times. This is an ideal opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching, or for someone who has experience in managing groups within another setting e.g. Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Scouts Leader etc.
