Sandcross Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to help with the growing capacity of our Nursery wraparound care provision (Melody Club). We are an inclusive school that lives out our values of Kindness, Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
The role will include responsibilities such as:
• Assist programme of imaginative and innovative activities suitable to the needs and interests of children aged 3- 4 years old.
•To maintain a safe and stimulating play environment and to assist with developing opportunities which encourage children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play
• Serve fun and nutritious snacks for children.
• Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between the classes and the club.
• Ensure delivery of creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment.
• Ensure that areas are cleared at the end of sessions. Adhering to legal responsibilities and duties under the 1989 Children Act, Care Standards Act 2000 and the Health and Safety Act, to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves, staff, children and members of the public who use the club
•Be responsible to the club supervisor
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: SPS scale 3
Contract: Pattern of hours negotiableWhat we are looking for:
● Level 3 Early Years Qualification or equivalent
● Self-confidence, common sense and maturity
● A good sense of humour and effective communication skills
● Adaptability and enthusiasm
● SEN experience (desirable but not essential)
