Summary
TA Post Hours: Part Time, 17 Hours and 30 minutes per week, Term Time Only (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 12.00pm)
Salary: Hay 9 (£11,120 - £12,114 per annum)
LBS Post Hours: Part Time, 7 Hours and 5 minutes per week, Term Time Only (Monday to Friday 12.00pm-1.25pm)
Salary: Hay 13 (£3,648 per annum)
The governors of Abbotswood Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in KS2.
The need to be flexible in response to the day-to-day requirements of a large, busy school will be an important consideration for any applicant.
Applicants will need to:
- Have an understanding of the End of Key Stage 2 Assessments
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Have a good sense of humour
- Be an experienced teaching assistant; NVQ level 3
- Demonstrate an ability to ensure that excellent progress is made
- Be fully committed to the school and working as part of a team
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have a positive personality and contribute to, and be receptive to, new ideas
- Be computer literate
- Be able to use their own initiative to support pupils with interventions when necessary
- Be able to liaise with parents & staff
A willingness to cover the class would be desirable.
