Location: Central office Reigate, Surrey

Active Prospects are a national award-winning provider of care and support to people with learning disabilities, those with mental health needs and autistic people. As part of the Surrey VSCE Equity Diversity and Inclusion Initiative on Inclusive Boards with Getting on Board/Action for Racial Equity and we are looking to attract additional talented people from diverse back grounds to join us. Trustee roles can be a great opportunity to support the development of your career as well as giving something back to local communities and the programme offers specific support and training.

If you have the passion for inclusive social care and communities, then this opportunity may be for you. We have two Board Trustee vacancies; we are looking for individuals who have either of the following:


experience of the Care/Support/Health sector for our customer groups
experience of HR or legal sectors


All Candidates must have the following:


communication and interpersonal skills combined with a collaborative approach.
ambition for our people to lead aspiring lives and ability to help shape strategy and new approaches.
a commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and environmental sustainability.
ability to uphold and role model Active Prospects standards, values and brand.


Both roles will also sit on our overall Board as well as relevant sub-committees.

We are an award-winning social care charity, renowned for high quality services enabling people to flourish in their own homes. We have a particularly strong record in supporting people to leave hospital and those with complex needs, all informed by sector leading work through coproduction alongside people.

We are ambitious about addressing the health inequalities faced by people with learning disabilities in partnership with several academic and statutory bodies.

We wish to further increase representation from ethnic minoritised communities, LBGTQ+ and people with a disability on our Board.

There is a commitment of up to eight 2.5-hour evening meetings throughout the year.

You will be supported by other Board members and an experienced and hardworking CEO and Executive Leadership Team, who undertake the operational delivery and strategy development supported by the Boards oversite, scrutiny, and creative input.
