Costing Estimator

Permanent - up to £32,000 per annum

Hours - 07.30 - 16.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.30 - 15.30 Friday

Office based - Milton Keynes

Have you worked within the Construction industry or the Windows and Doors industry providing quotes? Do you have a technical mind and great attention to detail? We are seeking a Costing Estimator to provide quotes to customers. You will be using Excel and need to be comfortable with formulas. Our client is seeking a strong administrator to work within this successful business that has huge growth plans. This is a great opportunity to learn, develop and work within a team of people that has that "family feel". The role

  • Providing quotes for "off the shelf" and bespoke doors within a timely fashion
  • Keeping customers updated, gathering additional information from customers to provide an accurate quote.
  • Reading architect drawings and raising any issues
  • Working closely with the technical team, architects, project managers, contractors and suppliers
  • Supporting customers over the phone, email and web chat
  • Managing the email inbox

Skills and experience

  • Must have experience providing quotes within the construction or doors/windows/conservatory industry.
  • Previous administration experience is essential.
  • Must be detail orientated and technically minded.
  • Must be an intermediate user of Excel.
  • Must be confident communicating both written and verbally with people, at all levels.
  • You will need to be a natural problem solver and resourceful.
  • Must be happy to ask questions and be willing to learn.
