They are looking for a band 5 Audiologist to join their experienced team of healthcare scientists. The service is based in Windsor, and also covers several sites across east Berkshire and staff regularly work at different sites during the week. They see a range of complex adult and paediatric patients for audiological assessment and rehabilitation, as well as providing audiology support to ENT colleagues. About the Job They are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Healthcare Science practitioner RCCP registered with BSc in Audiology or in Medical Physics, Physiological Measurements and BAAT I and II. You will carry out all routine aspects of diagnostic and rehabilitative adult and some pediatric audiology, while also becoming involved in the most advanced techniques and procedures. The job involves the care of people with hearing loss formulating individualised care plans for those diagnosed with hearing difficulties, working with inpatients and outpatients in acute, community and domiciliary environments, along with working in Tier 2 assessment clinics of children. You will communicate calmly, compassionately and effectively reassuring service users so they feel, valued, heard and understood. A born organiser with a flexible approach, you will have your own caseload of patients to manage. The 3 must haves for you to be considered for this role: BSc in Audiology or Medical Physics/Physiological Measurements and BAAT I and II, and RCCP registration (or ready to register) Excellent communication skills IT literate and ideally experience of using Auditbase and DATIX In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of Relevant Qualifications Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
