Summary
To work under as an autonomous podiatrist with the support of senior colleagues. To be professionally responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of Podiatric care to a variety of patients with a wide variety of clinical needs including: High-risk, Diabetes, Neuropathy, Chronic disease, Wound management/ tissue viability, MSK, Patients with mental illness or learning difficulties. To carry out annual diabetic foot reviews in accordance with NICE guidance which includes Vascular assessment using Doppler ultrasound assessment To have highly developed physical skills, precision hand/eye co-ordination for prolonged periods and as required when carrying out surgical techniques and specialist debridement.
