Summary

Paralegal | London, WC1N | Full Time | £22,000 - £25,000 | Monday – Friday; 09:30am – 5:30pm

Hugh Cartwright & Amin is a well-established commercial law firm based in Chancery Lane, the heart of London's historic legal district.

The Firm provides a pragmatic, tailored, efficient and cost-effective legal service to a varied clientele, including entrepreneurs, banks, investors, businesses, corporations, trusts, charities, diplomats, and governments. Most of our clients are referred to the Firm by existing clients or by our partners.

In this role, you will work either with the litigation or the conveyancing team gaining first-hand experience in high-quality work. There is the potential of a training contract for a suitable applicant.

The successful candidate will earn £22,000 - £25,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, to be discussed at interview.

This position would be ideal for someone looking to work and gain experience in the Law sector. Candidates looking to seek experience to coincide with their qualifications are encouraged to apply. Paralegal experience would also be ideal, but is not essential.

What will your role as a Paralegal look like?

• Researching for legal cases
• Preparing legal documents
• Handling confidential client or case information
• Creating reports for Solicitors based on case specifications
• Conducting interviews with clients and providing them with legal information
• Monitoring changes to government guidelines or regulations and submitting reports on pertinent changes
• Contacting courts to obtain evidence and transcripts
• Going to court when necessary
• Organising legal files
• Undertaking general office work
