Job Description: As a Mathematics Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for mathematics and achieve their full potential academically. You will deliver engaging and interactive lessons, utilizing a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the mathematics curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment where students feel supported and challenged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
• Use a range of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their ongoing development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, including those with additional learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, assessments, and resources to promote continuity and progression in mathematics education.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development activities to enhance teaching practice and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
• Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, preferably in a mainstream school setting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
