Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the educational journey of students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons, providing individualized support to students, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and assisting with classroom management.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with academic tasks, ensuring their understanding and progress.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their self-esteem, confidence, and independence.
- Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is preferred but not essential.
- Genuine passion for working with children and making a positive difference in their lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- Willingness to undergo training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
