We are currently recruiting Caretakers who will form part of our Estate Services structure and are a key function of our continuing commitment to providing a responsive customer-based service for our residents.

As a caretaker, you will be:

· Proving a responsive and flexible service, assisting new residents as they move into their new homes.

· Be the first point of contact dealing with resident’s enquiries reducing complaints.

· Involved in maintaining communal areas within our blocks and on our estates, carrying out spot cleaning of communal cleaning areas when required.

· Waste management e.g. communal bin stores/litter picking the scheme, arranging bulk waste collections.

· Carrying out small maintenance repairs as required.

· Reporting and monitoring outstanding repairs.

· Liaising directly with contractors and answering queries and you must have due regard to health & safety and security issues.


Your attributes

Ambassador for LQ
Full driving licence.
Excellent communicator, be willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to the changing needs within the Neighbourhood.
GCSE standard in literacy, reading, writing.
Have IT skills as you will be required to use a PC, undertaking online courses and assessments (This can be learnt on the job during the probationary period)
Problem solver
Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative.
Trade skills, DIY experience would be an advantage.
Able to work on your own initiative and be self-motivated to organise your own time effectively.
Proactive in your daily activities and aware of safe working practices.
