Summary

About The Role
At OCS Group, we are recruiting for a Chef who will work alongside our Chef Manager to ensure the provision of a high standard of food quality, preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, and safe environment

You will be working Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 19:00, on a permanent full-time basis; 37.5 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To assist with the development of menus/food offered on-site as well as support the team over busy Breakfast, Lunch & evening services.
  • To supervise a small team of staff and be responsible for meeting budgets and managing cash.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification - e.g. Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Diploma in Professional Cookery minimum Level 2 - e.g. C&G 706/2
  • Experience of contract catering
  • Flair and imagination as a chef
  • A good understanding of cost control
  • Good team-working skills with a flexible approach to work, and strong leadership skills
