Summary
PLEASE REFER TO THE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FURTHER DUTIES OF THE ROLE. To support Consultant-led outpatient clinics which will include new, review and urgent referrals Preparation of patients for theatre and post-operative care Dealing with both routine and emergency admissions Assisting in theatre and post-operative care. Undertake certain surgical operations and procedures independently (commensurate with level of clinical experience) Be involved in complex clinical, patient management problems and inter-disciplinary planning treatment Comprehensive patient handover with written and verbal communication as appropriate for all General and referred inpatients Help develop new services where needed Clinical Support of more junior members of the General team and Specialist General Nurses Be expected to take an active part in continuing medical education and undergraduate teaching. Full engagement with Clinical Audit and Clinic Governance is required.
