Summary
Experienced in operating Siemens/ Heidenheim controllers and Power Mill cam software is essential.
Writing programs for CAD models using Power Mill Cam Software. Preferred but not essential.
Operating our new CMS Ares 3618 5-axis machine along with a variety of other CNC machines including Dugard, Mte & Hurco. 3+2 axis.
Ability to work unsupervised.
At least 5 years’ experience in operating CNC machines.
Able to read and understand drawings and work with 3D CAD models.
Working with a variety of materials including model board, Aluminium & steel
Maintaining and promoting safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools, equipment, and the use of PPE.
To maintain and improve productivity where possible, work in line with company procedures and machine capability to ensure customer quality expectations are met.
Ensuring the work area is always kept clean and tidy by keeping the machine and all associated tools and equipment maintained to a high standard.Personal skills required:
Must be self-motivated and proactive as work must be manufactured to meet or exceed customer deadlines.
Be able to work in a team to tight deadlines and client briefs.
Must be punctual, reliable, and have a hard-working attitude.
The ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues is essential to ensure jobs are accurate, on time, and of high quality.
