As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Administrator with strong communication skills along with excellent administration skills to join our fantastic team at Options Higford, Shifnal.

Up to £24,000.00 per annum dependant on experience or qualifications
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Permanent; Term time plus 2 weeks

About the role

The successful applicant will work alongside our existing team to provide a high-quality service in all aspects of school administration. Each member of the team has distinct areas of responsibility with this role being related to all aspects of student paperwork.

The successful candidate will ensure all Education, Health and Care Plan processes are completed in accordance with statutory timescales and guidelines as well as all paperwork for other student meetings and reviews. This would involve scheduling meetings, collating reports, note taking and sharing documentation in line with GDPR processes. Other responsibilities include processing student admissions and leavers, managing student records and ensuring various databases are updated without delay.

This role would suit a flexible administrator who is keen to work in a fast-paced role, where accuracy and a keen eye for detail is essential. Strong communication skills in liaising with families/ carers and a range of external professionals is crucial. Experience of using a range of computer programs is essential including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Administration specific qualifications and training
Educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
Experience of working within and administration role
Experience of working within a team
Experience of liaising with a range of families /carers and professionals
Strong administration and communication skills
Ability to follow GDPR processes
Ability to work using own initiative and own workload
About us

Options Higford School is an Independent School for pupils and young people aged 5 – 19 years. There are currently 50 students on roll, but we are currently going through a period of growth up to 60 students. We specialise in meeting the learning needs of students with Autism and additional needs including Learning Disability, and the behaviours that may challenge resulting from those diagnoses. We offer a bespoke curriculum with personalised timetables within small class groups (maximum 5 students) supported by high levels of skilled staff who all receive the training and support required to deliver both Autism and Trauma Informed practice.

Options Higford is set in 28 acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
