Our client is looking for a Naval Architect to join their team. You will be a small craft Design Engineer conducting engineering/ Naval Architecture tasks such as structural analysis.
You will work closely alongside a multi-functional team supporting a wide range of design activities from cradle to grave.
Responsibilities for the Naval Architect:
- You will be responsible for providing sound estimates for all engineering work carried out and liaising with any necessary sub-contractors and suppliers regarding design solutions.
- Provide 3D modelling and 2D drawings of small craft systems for a wide range of products from components to whole vessel systems.
- Structural and stability analysis of designs, including experimentation and technical guidance.
- Involvement in tender preparation and submission of technical proposals
Experience required for the Naval Architect:
- This role would suit an individual with around 3 – 5 years’ experience in this field
- Qualified to degree level in Naval Architecture/ Small craft Design.
- Small Craft Design Standards ( IMO, MCA, ISO, Defstan, LR, )
- Small Craft System Design
- Stability Analysis (Maxsurf)
- 3D Modelling, 2D Drafting knowledge and experience.
- Composite Design
