Would you like to join our growing Digital Services Directorate in an exciting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) role?

We are seeking an ERP Functional Support Manager to lead the ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team. You will have responsibility for the effective management of the Enterprise Resource Planning system using the Oracle Fusion platform hosted by Oracle Cloud. Managing a team of around 6 people.

Responsible for the maintenance and development of the financial and planning modules within the Oracle Fusion application set, ensuring that the appropriate controls and reporting requirement infrastructures are in place to allow National Highways to accurately manage and account for their finances using Oracle Fusion.

What You’ll Be Leading On

Lead a high performing team.
Communicate to the wider business any issues relating to the status of data integrity, the position regarding standing data and progress with period ends. Draft and report the status to senior management on a regular basis with recommendations for action.
Seek to continually improve the ERP system processes, system controls and system performance in accordance with business requirements.
Facilitate close working relationships between the SMEs and the wider business including Business Process Owners.
Lead the maintenance, updating and improvement activities of the Oracle Fusion ERP suite, co-ordinate these activities between SMEs and business process owners.
Own, develop, draft and deliver an ERP functional improvement strategy and ensure this is delivered to time and budget. Ensuring it is aligned with the ERP Strategy by collaborating with the other members of the ERP management team.
Ensure that the business and user needs of National Highways are fully met by the deployed modules of Oracle Fusion.
Communicate effectively both upwards, outwards and downwards on issues and developments with clear recommendations and associated action plans to resolve problems and deliver improvements.
Develop and enhance contacts outside of National Highways to identify and understand how other organisations manage their ERP systems, share lessons and information and implement changes to incorporate best practise.
Provide support to the ERP Team and the wider business community to ensure the Oracle system meets the Company’s needs.

To be successful

Experience of business process improvement - an advocate of change.
Experience of IT change management
Detailed functional knowledge of one or more ERP modules would be an advantage (Oracle Fusion cloud desirable)
Extensive demonstrable knowledge and practical experience of management of ERP systems and ERP management teams
Demonstrable practical experience of working in or closely with Finance.
Working knowledge of Project management methodologies
Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and corporate level
Experience of successfully presenting to senior leadership and customer management
Team management, mentoring and coaching experience.
Security Cleared (desirable) or be willing to undergo security clearance
