Summary
We have an exciting role available in Gifford/North Berwick for a Personal Assistant/Carer to help a young man enjoy his leisure time and develop his confidence and independence.
The Employer is a man in his 40s with a passion for all sport, (especially watching and talking football & rugby, playing badminton, tennis, snooker, darts) as well as other interests such as walking, cinema, drinks with friends and meals out. He is keen to extend his social circle and make new friends. He is also keen to learn new life skills, for example cooking. He has some issues with learning and co-ordination that affect his confidence and make him cautious.
A new PA is required to support, encourage and challenge the employer through a wide range of weekly activities. This will give him the opportunity to develop his self- confidence and increase his ability to manage independently in the outside world.
10 hours per week to be worked flexibly with an emphasis on Saturdays (to accompany him to sports events) and weekday afternoons/evenings (with a min. shift length 2.5 hrs)
Dates and hours to be mutually agreed with the employer.
Job Share may be considered
Pay rate £13.70 per hour
Holiday Entitlement 5.6 weeks per year
Driver with own car preferred but not essential.
PVG membership preferred - cost can be met by employer if application is needed.
Training Provided, if required.
