Summary
Willow Tree Primary School and New Park Primary Academy are located in Harrogate, within easy reach of both York and Leeds and close to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
The schools are 2 miles apart and the role is across both sites daily so the candidate must have their own transport. We are open to considering part-time hours for the right candidate.
Both schools are part of Northern Star Academies Trust (NSAT) and are looking for
active and flexible colleagues to join the team of Caretakers to provide a high quality and effective caretaking service to ensure a secure, safe and hygienic environment for all users of school premises.
The successful candidate will have experience of general maintenance and must be prepared to learn the intricacies and upkeep of the Willow Tree Swimming Pool as well as undertaking general Health and Safety training courses, as appropriate.
The role requires the candidate to successfully complete the Pool Plant Operators course within the first 6 months of appointment.
This role will include:
• Management of site security
• Locking up at both sites
• Ensuring sites are safe and Health and Safety issues are dealt with
• Responsibility as part of the caretaking team for the swimming pool plant operation and pool water testing at
Willow Tree Primary
• Managing/completing general maintenance tasks
• Managing/completing monthly H&S checks
• Maintaining records to ensure compliance
• Re-stocking domestic supplies
• Portering
