Summary

Forest Services as part of Forestry Commission are the Government’s forestry experts. We advise nationally and locally on how to unlock the full potential of woodlands and support the forestry sector to protect, improve and expand England’s valuable woodland assets, ensuring that they continue to provide benefits to people, the environment and the economy.

You will join our busy Learning and Apprenticeships team which sits within Strategy and Transformation, a multidisciplinary team responsible for the development and continuous improvement of Forest Services.

Working closely with the Learning and Development Manager and Learning Project Officers to develop, support, and administer training which supports operational delivery in the Forestry Commission. This will involve close working with training coordinators, heads of teams, training providers and staff from teams across the wider Forestry Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality administrative support as part of the Learning and Apprenticeships team.
  • Provide administrative support to a variety of projects.
  • Collaborate in the strategic planning of all training activities.
  • Assist in establishing new training activities.
  • Provide end to end administrative support for training courses and events.
  • Promote learning opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact and provide communication to stakeholders.
  • Complete financial processes for training.
  • Proactively resolve enquiries and requests received and take an active approach to finding an outcome.
  • Use the learning management systems to maintain records and provide management information as requested.
  • Manage feedback systems and processes to support consolidation of learning.
  • Provide coordination and administration support for a variety of meetings as requested.
  • Provide additional training support to the wider team and across the organisation.
  • Analyse and provide data for management information requests and reporting.
  • Support the Learning Project Officers to ensure quality assurance processes are implemented.
