The successful applicant will also get the opportunity to support work on the surgical and haematology wards so it would suit an applicant with an adaptable nature and who likes an interesting and varied caseload. The team also work closely with our newly expanded vascular therapy team.

Band 6 Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. Band 6 Physiotherapists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy. Main duties include:
• To manage daily a specialist caseload within the in-patient wards
• To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team
• To be actively involved with training within the Department. We are a friendly supportive team where regular meetings, CPD and supervision is available.
• To be responsible for appraisal and supervision of Band 3-5 staff within the team.
• To be an active clinical educator for students from a range of Universities.

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 695,000 people.

Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: ‘People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’.

We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called ‘We care’. It’s about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We’re looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
