Job Description
We are currently seeking to recruit a Forklift driver for our client based in Grays, working for a tyre company to handle stock movement and inventory counting.
The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of warehouse experience and hold a valid Forklift certificate for either Counterbalance or Articulate Bendi, ensuring it is up to date.
What does the role entail?
As a Forklift Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely management of stock receiving, storage, picking, and loading. Additionally, you will be expected to assist with deliveries, vehicle unloading, and loading at the branch.
We are looking for an individual who can maintain a clean and safe working environment and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the branch. To be successful in this role, you should exhibit enthusiasm, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently.
Pay: £13 per hour
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with 1h break unpaid
Minimum hours: 8 hours
Starting ASAP, initially for 1 week, with the potential for extension
Requirements:
- Valid forklift license for Counterbalance or Articulate Bendi
- Preparation of orders for delivery
- Stock checking upon return
- Maintenance of stock equipment
- Manual handling involved
If you have the ability to operate the forklift in a safe and efficient manner, meeting customer expectations, you would be an excellent fit for this role! Prior experience in manual handling and a good understanding of safe working practices is desirable. Holding a Forklift Licence is also preferred.
