10.30am - 4.30pm Thursday and Friday
RAFAKidz is a hugely popular nursery serving the local RAF community as well as non-service families when spaces allow. We have a passionate and ambitious team of 41 staff who take great pride in supporting circa 140 children aged 0 -5 in a stimulating, exciting, educational and fun environment at our modern facility based at Wellesley Way, Sleaford. In addition, we provide a Before and After School club which plays a key role in the community by offering this provision to 78 children.
About you
We have a vacancy for an additional Cook. You will have lots of stamina, patience, creativity and imagination with an abundance of great ideas to enhance mealtimes. Ideally you will have previous experience within a busy catering environment. The key responsibilities of the role include the planning, preparation and serving of age appropriate, nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks catering for the children’s individual dietary requirements and food allergies. You will be responsible for the ordering, control, storage and rotation of kitchen stock and ensuring that you and Kitchen Assistants ensure hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation. A minimum NVQ Level 2 in food hygiene is an essential requirement for this position (we will provide training to achieve Level 3) along with excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency
