About the Home

Westley Court is a well-established care home which provides Residential, Respite, Day Care and Nursing Care.

As a Registered Nurse at Westley Court, you will look after the physical, psychological and social needs of our valued residents to help us deliver the quality of care that they deserve. You will be a strong clinician with outstanding skills that bridge care, audit and compliance, you will already be a registered nurse with a strong clinical background and will have a valid NMC pin. Your knowledge of the legal frameworks in which we operate, combined with your passion for people centred solutions will benefit each resident with your careful planning. Your approach to care planning and risk management, relationship management and supervision will get the best results from your team and provide every resident with the care and health outcomes that they deserve. You will be a team player; you’ll demonstrate outstanding communication skills and be a strong presence in our multi-skilled team

Providing outstanding leadership for care and nursing staff

Supporting residents with a wide range of complex needs and dependency levels

Provide Clinical nursing to residents including medication management, infection prevention, wound care and control procedures

Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans

Administering prescribed medication and maintaining necessary records as per company guidelines

Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents

Ensuring all day/ night shift staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the home

Ensuring resident needs are being met and interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate

Supporting Registered Manager with auditing Care Plan documentation to ensure best practice

Advising the Registered Manager of any incidents or accidents

Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover every shift

Complete supervisions and appraisals to ensure that best practice is adhered to.

Knowledge is key for this position and candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of the Health and Social Act 2012, the NMC, and the Professional Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities as a nurse are to achieve the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of Staff Members. To take management responsibility for a shift as directed.
