Summary

The Role

Northwest Childcare Services is recruiting three team leaders to join a new home in Bare, Morecambe. The home will offer support to children of mixed gender and we will be supporting children and young people with SEBD/LD.

As a team leader, you will be hardworking, and enthusiastic, enjoy working in a challenging environment, and will lead your team by example. You will also deputise at any given time for the manager when required to do so. You will be dependable, flexible and calm in a challenging situation and caring in your approach to managing both staff and young people.

We aim to provide the highest possible quality care and environment for our young people to maximise successful outcomes and experiences, and for all staff to be supported, calm and consistent in our collective goals.

We are looking to employ three team leaders with varied and valuable experiences who can offer the following traits in their working roles.

Looking to make a difference.
Experienced in working with families and outside agencies.
Be consistent with boundaries.
Committed and with a strong work ethic.
Able to work under your initiative as well as part of a team.
Support other team members and your line manager.
Complete and orchestrate regular supervision.
Passion to work with young people (8-17 years)
Your Hours of work will be on a rolling rota basis (2 days on 4 days off), sleeps are paid at £70 each and are an essential part of the role.

You must be over 21 years old to apply.
Employees will be offered an additional annual leave as an incentive if they do not take any sick leave within 12 months. (up to an additional 24 hours)

Job Type: Full-time, Contracted
We will cover the cost of your DBS check if you are not subscribed to the update service. However, it is your responsibility to subscribe to the online service within 7 days of receiving approval for your DBS check. Please note that these positions require enhanced disclosure checks and procedures.

Bonus additional responsibility allowance points ranging from £500 - £1000 per year are available for the appropriate, committed, and experienced staff members in certain identified areas.

A full comprehensive and extensive training package will be offered, with regular updates and the opportunity for fully funded continuous professional development in specific areas that suit the needs of the children and the home.

224 hours annual leave per year + 8 hours for your birthday + potential to earn up to a further 24 hours with no sickness absences.

Essential requirements of the role:
NVQ/ Diploma Level 3 Residential Children's Home qualification
3 year’s experience working in a childcare setting
A full clean UK driving license
Diploma L5 is desirable but would be expected to be worked towards.

On-call responsibilities are a requirement of the role, and this would be paid as an additional responsibility allowance.

(Sleep-ins calculated over each year will add approximately up to £8470 to your salary) Potential earning £40,098 - plus potential for overtime.
