Summary
TITLE: Patient Coordinator LOCATION: Moorgate Primary Care Centre, Bury SALARY: £12.00 Per Hour STAFF CATEGORY: Operational HOURS: Full time/Part time RESPONSIBLE TO: Service Manager JOB PURPOSE To fulfil efficient call handling, dispatching, administration and reception duties, working as a member of the BARDOC Operations Team. Core duties and responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities which follows, represents the broad range of tasks which may be required to be undertaken either routinely or periodically: Answer telephone calls from the general public and Healthcare Professionals in a courteous, helpful and professional manner Accurate recording of patient data in line with GDPR protocols Despatch home visits to BARDOC Visiting Services Manage the bookings of Treatment Centre appointments. Ensure effective comfort calling to patients when required Liaise and collaborate with other external multi-disciplinary teams, such as Hospitals, Pharmacies, Nursing Services, Ambulance and Police Any other duties reasonably falling within the nature of this post Behaviours required Self-motivated, well organised and proactive Demonstrates accountability for own workload and open to learning from mistakes A willingness to learning from others, sharing knowledge with colleagues Is approachable and takes pride in own work Acts with honesty and integrity through all you do Demonstrates a flexible approach to working Knowledge & Skills Good level of IT and keyboard skills Good organisational and problem solving Ability to be able to deal with conflict and offer resolution Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and professional Ability to work without supervision independently or as part of a team Excellent written and oral communication, providing accurate information with attention to detail Problem Solving Assessing situations and making informed decisions to ensure excellent patient care Ability to use own initiative Ability to work well with a team and follow management instruction Safeguarding All staff are responsible for ensuring that they are familiar with and adhere to BARDOC and the ICBs safeguarding procedures and guidelines in conjunction with the Safeguarding Childrens and Adult Board Policies, Procedures and Guidelines. Prevention of Infection All staff have a responsibility to comply with BARDOCS policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. This includes rigorous and consistent compliance with policies such as prevention measures as hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment and safe disposal of sharps. You have a responsibility to protect and maintain confidentiality of all information. You must not, except as authorised or required by law or your duties, reveal any confidential information.
