About the role:
We are currently recruiting a Project Assistant to join the Safety and Support team.
The safety and support team is made up of a number of support services including safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, identification of support for customers who are already living in our homes, providing homes for customers with complex needs along with wider services such as victim support services and positive engagement provision.
The Safety and Support team are responsible for Safeguarding and support of our vulnerable customers, working in close partnership with other agencies to provide this service.
As a Project Assistant you will play a pivotal role in supporting the safety and support agenda, providing an efficient and effective administrative service within Gentoo.
The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.

1. Support the teams in managing and maintaining existing and new services and projects.
2. Deal with all customer based enquiries whether in person, telephone, email in an efficient, courteous, and customer focused way.
3. Provide general project management and administrative support to the teams within the safety and support team.
4. Create and update documents using relevant computer packages, including the relevant databases.
5. Develop and maintain effective relationships with referral agencies, partners and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis including other Support Providers, Social Landlords, Adult Services, Safeguarding partners.
6. Attend and participate in relevant meetings with the Operations Manager, customers, partners and other staff members. This may include arranging meetings and appointments and organising venues & hospitality.
What we are looking for:
Experience of:
1. Experience of providing high quality administration service.
2. Experience of maintaining accurate detailed records.
3. Experience of customer focused initiatives.
4. Experience of using various computer-based systems and packages.
5. Experience of working in a fast paced, changing environment and managing the demands placed upon you to do so.
Knowledge of:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Experience of working with partner agencies.
3. Excellent skills and experience of using various computer based systems and packages including Word,Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
4. Organisation, project management & admin skills.
5. Numerical Skills
