Summary

Join us as an Associate Director in Banks Coverage, UK & Europe

  • We’ll look to you to utilise your knowledge of bank capabilities to prepare first class customer and sector analysis and pitch materials, supporting with strategy definition and transaction origination

What you’ll do

As an Associate Director, you’ll support the Coverage Banker in building and maintaining business with the strategic clients across UK & Europe. You’ll provide analytical capability to understand customer, economic and sector requirements and deliver appropriate solutions to meet those requirements.

Throughout the course of your work, you’ll support specialists in all aspects of activity to present the bank as the leading partner to customers.

You’ll also:

  • Develop a strong network of relationships whilst supporting your colleagues in all aspects of commercial strategy and internal stakeholder management and deliver the capabilities of the bank to appropriately meet customer needs and requirements
  • Deliver sector content and core relationship facilities for customers, which will include creating client opportunity plans, coverage strategy, call reports, briefing memos for industry conferences and senior executive meetings
  • Develop a good understanding of all aspects of strategy and product offering, with the aim to be able identify and foresee opportunities

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with a proven ability to solve complex problems, and a track record of working with others to build business success. As well as the ability to thoroughly research market conditions and developments, to be able to analyse various sources of detailed information and interpret findings for clients. Sector knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.

You’ll also need:

  • A practical understanding of risk management disciplines including credit and anti money laundering
  • Experience in portfolio management or engaging directly with clients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A track record of working with others to build business success
  • The ability to face off to senior stakeholders both internally and externally and develop a good network across the bank to enable customer delivery through aligned bank appetite and capability
