Assistant Quantity Surveyor
House building
A leading house builder seeks to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial team based in Cheshire. The company deliver high quality homes across the North West region ranging from starter homes through to luxury detached homes.
Due to an increase in workload, they are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their offices based in Cheshire working across new build housing developments.
Working closely with the Senior QS and Commercial Manager you will be responsible for cost control of housing developments throughout the region. You will be responsible for preparing, managing and controlling all site development costs and budgets. Duties to include:
- Maintain budget control
- Produce accurate bi-monthly valuations
- Procure sub-contractors, goods and materials
- Payment approvals and processing
- Prepare valuation reports
- Liaise with site team and sub-contractors
- Provide support to the commercial department
The successful candidate will ideally have (or working towards) a degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management and have 12 months to 2 years experience managing budgets on construction projects.
In return for your skills the company offer a basic salary between £25-35k (dependant on experience) + company car or car allowance, pension, healthcare, bonus scheme, life assurance cover, 26 days annual leave and the opportunity to work with a leading house builder.
