Summary

Job Overview:
As a Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support for individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and autism. You will be responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, leading a dedicated team, and creating an environment that promotes the well-being and independence of residents. You are an experienced Registered Manager looking for a new opportunity to lead an established provider’ new location offering Mental Health Services in London Borough of Redbridge, Essex. This service has been registered by CQC and designed for those individuals who require a high level of support including behaviours that challenge to live within a community setting and will continue to require significant support in the longer term. Service users may be transforming from children’s residential services into young adults service homes, moving out of family home or have been discharged from hospital placements.

To be successful as Registered Manager, you will need:
Experience with Challenging Behaviour and Positive Behaviour Support (Essential)
An excellent track record in a management role within the social or healthcare sector (Essential)
Experience in working with agencies such as CQC, Safeguarding, CCG and Local Authorities (Essential)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
In this role, you will have overall leadership and management of the service, developing close working relationships with the experienced and established teams, and other external stakeholders and be responsible for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with referral agencies.
Provide strong leadership to the care team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Implement and monitor policies and procedures to maintain a safe and effective care environment.

2. Person-Centered Care:
Develop and implement person-centered care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Ensure that care plans reflect the diverse needs, preferences, and goals of individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and autism.

3. Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant regulations, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, and ensure compliance.
Lead inspections and audits, addressing any identified areas for improvement promptly.

4. Staff Management and Development:
Recruit, train, and supervise care staff, providing ongoing support and professional development.
Conduct regular staff meetings, performance appraisals, and training sessions to enhance the skills of the care team.

5. Communication and Collaboration:
Establish effective communication channels with residents, their families, and the care team.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social services, and external partners to optimize the care and support provided.

6. Financial Management:
Manage the budget for the care home, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial sustainability.
Monitor and control expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.

7. Quality Assurance:
Implement quality assurance processes to continually improve the standard of care.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the care home.

Qualifications and Skills:
Registered Manager Qualification: Possession of a relevant Registered Manager qualification/Level5 Leadership Qualification in Health and Social Care

Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role within a care home, particularly with individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and autism.

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse care team.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges and implement practical solutions.

Compassion: A genuine passion for providing person-centered care and improving the lives of individuals with diverse needs.
