About the role:
As a Collections Advisor working in our call centre here at VWFS, you will provide the highest quality assistance and support when the Customer is experiencing financial difficulty. You will be the voice of the business during a sensitive time for the customer, balancing empathy with commercial business needs.
- Working to agreed service levels, quality targets and operational metrics
- Using your initiative to resolve customer issues, where possible within first contact
- Working in accordance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines at all times
- Using personal judgement to negotiate with third parties including debt management and recoveries firms
- Updating multiple systems and programmes
Skills and Experience Required:
- Complex customer service experience, ideally gained within a collections or complaints team
- Experience of working to service levels and quality measures
- Strong teamwork skills whilst maintaining individual ownership
- Excellent written and verbal ability
- Experienced in the use of multiple systems including MS Office, CRM and telephony systems
- A genuine desire to help and support people
- The ability to manage, influence and adapt during complex conversations
