Job overview
Reporting to the Finance Director, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Assistant to join our team. As
Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our accounting
processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and wants to grow their career in the field.
Key responsibilities:
* Recording daily financial transactions using Netsuite accounting software.
* Accounts payable – processing invoices, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
* Sales reconciliation – investigating variances between accounting software and production software.
* Daily bank reconciliations.
* Processing employee expenses in line with company policies.
* Assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
* Supporting the finance team in preparing and monitoring budgets.
* Supporting the finance team with financial analysis to aid decision-making.
* Assisting with audits.
To be successful in this role:
* Previous experience as a finance assistant would be an advantage.
* Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Working knowledge of accounting software would be an advantage.
* Strong IT skills, in particular Excel and Powerpoint.
* Well organised and self-disciplined, with the ability to multi-task and to assist other members of the finance team
* The ability to communicate on all levels and establish good working relationships both internally and externally
