Summary


The trauma and Orthopaedic team on Ward 52 are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated individual as we continue to develop the service we provide to our patients. The ideal candidate will not only have an interest in improving patient care within Trauma and Orthopaedics, but also actively contribute to the development of education and training for the wider workforce. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to embed high standard patient care, and best practice guidelines. Working with the nursing team, the candidate with develop innovative ideas around improving patient journey and experience. You will be supported to develop your clinical practice and leadership skills with a bespoke induction and training package.


• Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
• Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the multi-professional
• A skilled practitioner and clinical leader providing support to the management team, participating in service/policy
• Responsible for clinical assessment of a group of patients and management of a team, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented and evaluated/audited.

• Organisation of cross-departmental/organisational activities including HR, resource, and bleepholder responsibilities as
• Demonstrate highly technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management including; complex patient monitoring; equipment management and frequent administration of invasive tests/procedures.

• Promote and monitor adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policy designed to protect healthcare staff and service users from known hazards.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times
