The Governing body of Caegarw Primary School wishes to appoint an excellent and highly committed Teaching Assistant to join our skilled team of staff. The successful candidate will be working in our nursery unit alongside our hardworking and committed team of nursery staff.
Caegarw Primary School is situated in the village of Caegarw in Mountain Ash within a short drive of the Abercynon A470 roundabout. We have 168 pupils on roll and have a caring, welcoming and committed staff.
Our school motto is 'Where Children Learn with a smile on their faces and ambition in their hearts.' We are committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential in all aspects of their life.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about working with children, be a good communicator and team member. We are looking for someone who has: Basic understanding of child development and learning
• Good literacy and numeracy skills to support learning effectively
• An ability to use ICT effectively
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Good interpersonal skills when working with children and adults
• An ability to use basic Welsh language skills
