Position Overview:

The school is looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join the team in September 2024. As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and effective English language instruction to students. You will create a supportive and stimulating learning environment where students can develop their language skills and foster a love for literature and language arts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote active participation.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum enhancements and instructional strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field (PGCE or equivalent preferred).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Proven experience teaching English language and literature at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of English language and literature, with the ability to inspire students and cultivate a passion for learning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of best practices in education.
