Operations Assistant (Lighting Equipment)

Remarkable Jobs are delighted to continue supporting a rental client of ours, with the recruitment of an Operations Assistant.

As an Operations Assistant, you will be playing a pivotal role within the operations of the company and be responsible for, but not limited to:

• First line management of the Equipment Supervisors and Equipment Technicians within the departments to also include agency staff, lighting technicians and trainees.
• Act as the linchpin between the equipment control team and equipment departments to ensure daily workload requirements are actioned in line with correct standards and deadlines are adhered to.
• Encourage an ethos of continual improvement and development of the departments.
• Ensure shortage reporting is actioned and communicated by the departments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure daily priority of work is continuously monitored, proactively driving pace of work across the departments and any issues are communicated back to the equipment control team efficiently.
• Demonstrating a positive approach to the company whilst reacting to the high demands of the business.
• Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines whilst adhering to the priorities of the business.
• Originating and contributing to documentation for training purposes, to include procedures and competency skillsets.
• Where required, provide Equipment Department Supervisor cover, relating to daily priority of work and Equipment Technician tasking.

Operations Assistant, Key Skills:

• First line management skills, including personnel management, conflict resolution, effective communications & training/development experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role / rental based company
• Knowledge of the film and television production industry
• Must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft office software.
• Good understanding of operating systems such as RT Pro inventory tracking system, Microsoft Teams.
• Very good communication skills.
• Adaptable and willingness to learn.
• Flexible to work overtime and occasional weekends as the needs to the business require.
